My name is Lauren Wuornos and I live within the perspective that we are only tourists. Our lives are only a fraction of a fraction of the time that has passed. The concept of time itself really interests me. Because of this, I feel I have a loyal duty to humanity. I am worried we will detach ourselves from the big picture (no pun intended) and live only within our shells because personally, the more addicted I get to technology, the more I want to abandon it.
I have to do something to change the world, and whatever that is, exactly, I believe I am capable of achieving. I aspire to collaborate within the creative workforce because to change anything at all, innovation is absolutely key. I am also a traveler at heart and an adventurer into the unknown.
All photos shared here were created in a single shot. My shooting style is very much just observatory. I never move an object unless otherwise stated. The act of physically taking each of these has become a quiet tool of meditation. When my eyes frantically scan the world I'm standing on for details in the patterns that strike me, I never feel more in the moment. It is my personal mental puzzle as well as an oasis from the city that sustains the joy I get from having the ability to capture a visual thousands of people pass each day and never notice, never admire or even acknowledge its existence. Life really is beautiful, you just have to open your eyes.
