What is “Art by Filter Foundry” ?
Art by Filter Foundry: 2012 presents a unique opportunity to all Filter Foundry members to participate in our official hardcover Art and Design Book that showcases the very best work on our platform. Members now have a chance to get their work printed and immortalized in an exclusive hardcover design publication combined with a unique enhanced e-book available on iPad. Submitting your work is completely free but only the best will be selected by our panel of curators (see below) of which the final 206 will all received a complimentary book shipped as soon as it becomes available.

The will be available in only five thousand copies and be distributed worldwide to top creative agencies / film and game studios globally. Consider this perhaps the last resume you will ever need. We believe great art should be seen and although digital books are becoming more and more popular, nothing comes close to showing off the detail in you painstaking design like well presented print.
How your work is presented:
The book will be printed at 11x12 inches and consist of 206 heavy gloss pages. One page per artist selected. Each artist can can each submit 1-3 images with a short bio. The pages will be presented with a unique creative layouts as shown in example below with your Filter Foundry vanity url below the bio.
Printing rights and licensing:
If you are submitting work created for any brands, television, film, or agencies all art must get clearance from said parties. Filter Foundry reserves the right to disqualify artists attempting to take credit for someone else’s work without permission from those individuals, brands or agencies they have worked with. If you submit art work created as part of a collaboration effort you should clearly credit those who helped you make it possible.
How to enter and be selected:
"Art by Filter Foundry: 2012" is open for anyone to submit work from over 50 different fields.
You can view the full list by clicking on the “Creative field drop down” in your profile.
Requirements for successful submission:
Create a PAD on Filter Foundry and upload at least 3 galleries with some of your best artwork. Be sure you fill out your profile accurately as your bio will be printed in the book. Existing users can add more work or just update profiles to be more recent. (We will contact you if additional information is required)
Invite some friends to join FF as other Creatives or just as Art Enthusiasts (Red button in header). Ask them to help you GET CRED on your work. Artists with a 100 CRED or more are automatically entered as candidates.

or, for immediate selection and to skip CRED, you can enter by upgrading your account to PRO level. This doesn't mean PRO’s automatically get printed or that basic accounts are not considered. The best work will still be featrured. (See the subscription plans buttons below)

Over the next 3 months our panel of Industry Pros below will take a close look at your work and let you know if you made it as a book finalist. To find out more about our judges click below to visits their PADS. Final decisions will be made on February 1st, 2012, so break out the canvas, pencil, drawing tablet or camera and create some fresh new art for “Art by Filter Foundry”.
Harald Belker
Entertainment / Vehicle Designer
Harald Belker PhD hon. is best known for his vehicle designs in films such as Batman and Robin and Minority Report and recently Tron Legacy. His designs range from sunglasses, Kaenon to electric bikes, e-bike and Hotwheels for Mattel. At 48, Belker has been involved in the visual design field for roughly 20 years after graduating from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.
Scott Robertson
Owner Design Studio Press / Concept Designer
Scott Robertson graduated with honors with a B.S. degree in Transportation Design in April 1990. He immediately opened a consulting firm in San Francisco, where he designed a variety of consumer products. He began teaching at Art Center College of Design in 1995. Robertson created the entertainment design major at Art Center, and served as chair of the department for 3 years. He founded Design Studio Press in 2002.
Tomasz Osapinski
Digital Artist / Graphic Design
BA in Computer Graphics in Print and Advertising. Currently consulting as Digital / Creative Consultant at multiple, advertising agencies in Los Angeles, CA. Participant, finalist and jury member of many national and international competitions, e.g. The Hollywood Reporter Annual Key Art Awards, Golden Trailer Awards, Young Creatives Cannes Lions Contest. Collaborated on over 400 theatrical / gaming projects.
Simon Stock
Commercial Photographer
Multi-award winning photographer/director Simon Stock has signed to Moxie Pictures for worldwide commercials representation. One of the most lauded commercial photographers in the world, Simon began directing three years ago and his commercial work to date includes spots for Jaguar, Subaru, Mercedes , Shell, Toyota and the Discovery Channel.
Andrè Cook
Filter Foundry Co-Founder / Graphic Designer
Studied Graphic Design and Film at Pretoria Technikon in South Africa, with furthered studies in 3D modeling, and animation and technical background in Turbo Pascal, C++, html / css. In ‘96 moved to US and since joined several startups ranging from web design to new media. Worked closely with several well recognized brands: GM, Old Spice, FOX, MGM, Nicole Miller and Kenneth Cole which won an IPPA / Clio.
