Inspired by a trip to the Amazon, author and photographer David Leaser has created a limited edition collection of dramatic botanicals with such detail, you’ll see flowers like you’ve never seen them before. Using space-age technology (including equipment used by NASA on Mars), the artist developed a technique that some are calling the dettagli process because of the extremely high level of detail I can present on large scale canvas. You can literally see the pollen on the stamens of these flowers.

The artwork in the Nightflowers collection is a giclée printed on archival canvas that has been gessoed and sealed with a UV coating. The work is hand stretched and hand framed in a shadow box museum-style frame. All aspects of the work are museum quality.

The editions are strictly limited to protect client investment. We offer two editions of most pieces: the Collector’s Edition and the Silver Edition. Every piece of artwork includes a certificate of authenticity that describes the artwork. The certificate is signed, numbered and embossed by the artist. Pricing includes shipping in the continental United States.

Thanks so much! I released 25 images in the first collection and am planning to release 25 more in the next month. You can see the entire collection at http://davidleaser.com MANY THANKS for all your support! ~ Aloha, David

These are done very well. Simple beauty by nature, yet great thought in the process. Thanks for the views.

Thanks, Kimberly! I think closeup photography really shows the world in a different way.

Hi Katie, I am using a number of macro/closeup technique, including focus stacking and compositing. Much of my gear is Nikon, but I spend a great deal of time examining every pixel to make sure the image conveys its personality. I have 25 botanical images posted to my website at http://davidleaser.com/ Many thanks for your comments, Katie. I really appreciate it.

Wow these are amazing!! Can you explain how you get the photographs to show such detail?? I'd be interested in seeing a studio session of it!

Thanks! These images are part of a collection of 25 botanicals -- I need to post the others. Many thanks for your comments and kind words! -- David
