lynda.com is looking for a world-class Senior Graphic Designer, with the proven ability to create award-winning and motivating design communications. Besides being an exceptional visual designer and a strong conceptual thinker, this person has experience influencing and directing other designers within the Creative department. The Senior Graphic Designer collaborates directly with the Creative Director, Marketing team, User Experience team, and other cross-functional team members in initiating and executing visual concepts. The Senior Graphic Designer is part of the Creative department and reports to the VP, Creative Director.


Primary responsibilities:
Creation of visual design for projects including: Collateral, page design, typography and iconography
Create and design within a corporate branding framework
Effectively present design ideas and recommendations
Direct the work of more junior designers and provide guidance and mentoring to them

Experience and qualifications:
A strong portfolio that reflects conceptual and executional skills
Award winning branding and graphic design experience
Superior communication and presentation skills
Web site design experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in Graphic Design, Digital Media Design, Advertising, or other closely related disciplines or equivalent training and experience
8-plus years of professional print and web design experience preferably in an agency, marketing or in-house creative services environment with a proven track record for creating branded communications
Organizational, and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects within deadlines
