Living Arts College, located in Raleigh, NC is a growing, accredited creative college. We offer programs in Interactive Media, Animation & Game Design, Interior Design, Filmmaking, Photography and Audio Production.
Living Arts College is seeking an expert in Lighting, Modeling and Design for 3D for both production and training work.
The ideal candidate will have experience lighting, designing and modeling high fidelity 3D props and environment elements for film, games and motion graphics. This artist should have a strong art & design foundation background, which includes the understanding of form, color, light, etc. for both 2D and 3D art mediums. This artist must have skillful working knowledge of Maya, Photoshop, Mudbox, Z-brush, etc. Drive and persistence are important qualities in our studio-like culture. We expect all artists to have a good positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES
• Expertise with lighting, design and modeling for 3D animations.
• Ability to create photo-realistic renderings and animations using a wide range of lighting, modeling, texturing and compositing skills.
• Training College professors on details of lighting specifications & standards, modeling and scene design.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for maintaining and enhancing Living Arts College standard of instruction while working to meet challenging deadlines in a positive work environment
• Daily collaboration with the creative director and producer to create visually impressive and stimulating content
• Candidate should also display exceptional work ethic
• Candidate should be able to make new assets match similar existing assets in all steps of the pipeline
• Should have experience setting up efficient collision objects for individual assets
• Will need to work within provided budgets for polygons and texture size
• Will need to follow project-specific guidelines for optimization prior to completion of each asset
