Hello is a creative digital agency. We create intelligent, living systems for people to experience. We believe in building systems that are useful, usable, and desirable.

We are passionate about the interactive medium and immerse ourselves in it each and every day. From brand identities to immersive online experiences to touch-screen kiosks, we are always looking to innovate. Good design is a given and often our multi-disciplinary approach leads us into uncharted territory. Technology doesn’t scare us and in fact we’ve become quite good friends. We are a different breed and work hard to perfect our craft.

Hello was founded over ten years ago with one goal–quality in everything we do. Since that first day, we strive to bring quality thinking and execution to the table no matter the size of our projects or clients. We firmly believe that without the strength of a brilliant idea and an eye for detailed follow through, an experience never realizes its full potential.

Hello. It is a greeting that starts a conversation. It is friendly and universally understood. It is about establishing relationships and always comes with a smile. Hello is communication, and simply what we do.

Our culture at Hello is defined by the fact that we all have a passion for our craft. Our meticulous process is a blend of common sense and hard work. Here are a few principles we live by:

Be Good
Good design is pure. Good design is innovative. Good design is beautiful. Good design is honest. Good design is timeless. Good design is an advantage. Choose to be good.

Listen
Be a sponge. Listen first or you will never fully understand. Deep understanding leads to exceptional results. Observe, experience, relate. Soak it all up and don’t forget to write it down.

Don’t Grow Up
Be a kid and let your curiosity take over. Ask questions—lots of them. Questions lead to answers. Never assume you know all the answers. Sometimes it takes an outsider to stir things up. Disrupt the status quo to gain a new perspective. Keep an open mind and don’t jump to conclusions.

Content is the Soul
Find your voice and speak out. Start a dialogue, tell a story, make people laugh. Most of all, take the time to nourish your brand. Remember, your brand is a promise. It’s about relationships, so go out and make some new friends.

Invent Door Knobs
Your solution should be easy to understand and use. It makes itself understood immediately. If it requires a manual, go back to the drawing board. Create transparent interfaces so people don’t have to think. A simple solution always works (and is often the most difficult to achieve).

Exceed Expectations
Start with an idea then run with it. Embody a spirit of adventure and exploration because new discoveries may be just around the corner. Iterative innovation is the key. Go a step further, think a little differently, and you may end up with a few pleasant surprises.

Crave Beauty
Obsess over pixels. Border on fanatical about detail. Take the time to make it right. Quality is a given. Don’t be mediocre, never compromise, and never make excuses. Produce beauty, stimulate emotions, and bring people’s senses to life. Make it human.

Create Delight
Engage people with pleasant surprises. Ignite lust to create a competitive advantage. Make it a breeze for people to find what they are looking for. Make it worth their time to explore. Happy people always come back for more.

Think “What If?”
Sketch the future. Push the limits. Experiment to learn. Stay up late dreaming about what doesn’t exist. Think deeper, look deeper. Prototype your ideas. Show, don’t tell. Make plenty of mistakes and let accidents happen. Successful failures eventually lead to success. If it sounds ludicrous, you probably have a good idea. Imagine that.

Hello builds teams around our clients that are relatively small and highly specialized at what they do. Designers, strategists, information architects, producers, and technologists bring a unique mix of talents to each of our projects. We operate under the principles of speed, precision, and close teamwork. Eleven countries and counting have brought unique perspectives and cultures to Hello. When you work with us, you only get the smartest, and most talented people.

We are in good company. Hello is part of the MDC Partners network which includes leading agencies such as Crispin Porter + Bogusky, kirshenbaum bond senecal + partners, mono, HL Group, Redscout, Zyman Group, and Bruce Mau Design. This allows us to be entrepreneurial and collaborative with some of the most creative teams in the world.
