From about 1990 through around 2000 I did a lot of freelance cycling, climbing, skating, skiing, BMX and hockey helmet design. This portfolio contains a small sample of some of that work. All of the helmet images were created by first sculpting half of the helmet in Chavant automotive clay, then painting it and photographing it on a first-surface mirror. In Photoshop the centerline was cleaned up to create the presentation images. Some of the clients during that time included, Bell, Specialized, Giro, GT, Troxel, Pro-Action, NIke, Black Diamond and OVO.
