Artistic photographer, published author with additional experience in writing about photography, in creative direction, teaching and as a visiting curator. M.A. and Ph.D. in Literary studies with a minor in arts. Frequent traveler currently living in Canada. My roots are in photojournalism and social photography but these days I seldom shoot for clients. However, if you like my way of seeing and feeling the world and if it corresponds to what you might be looking for do feel free to contact me, or if you would like to share opinions or go for a photo walk if we happen to be in the same country - do send me a message, I would be very glad to discuss with you. If you are looking for a French-language or an English-language writer on photography and visual arts or a visiting curator for your publication, especially when it comes to scouting talent and assembling collections or series it would also be very interesting to hear from you. Thanks for your interest.

Writer. Dreamer of Pictures. Cultural hybrid. Writer. Adopted Parisian currently living in Canada. Trained linguist specialized in anthropology of language and poetics in Paris and in Montreal. Lived on three continents and still counting. Film photographer since 1985 currently transitioning towards digital part-time. Writer since I can. Have published articles, book chapters, photographs. Translated. Curated as a visitor and collaborated with art, photography and design magazines in two or three languages. Co-authored a book around photography - should be out sometime in the early summer 2011. Currently working on a large-scale project around photography - where theory meets practice. My photographs may not look traditional to most eyes. There are reasons for this; they are historical, for each pair of eyes. Mine always go after the reasons why I look at something. Photographs are, then, about a truer feeling of things, their feel, latent imagery included; that which the subconscious self sees and the image shows. Photography is lifting the veil on the world, about self-understanding.
